I have taught grades 1-5 for a total of 18 years. I am certified to teach remedial reading K-12. I am National Board Certified. I was a Number Sense Coach and have taught students how to compete with mental math. I enjoy teaching Reading Skills and Math. I am familiar with Common Core and helped train my fellow teachers in Common Core Standards. I am a Brainspring Orton-Gillingham Certified Dyslexia Specialist. I am open to tutoring other subject areas as well on the elementary grade...

I believe that every student can learn if they are taught in their own learning style. I believe in individualizing instruction to each student and helping them stay motivated to build confidence in the areas that they have been struggling.

I enjoy working with a variety of resources to help students succeed. The resources range from hands on projects to technology such as web-based educational games and iPads.

knowledge and patience

So far i love her approach to teaching and analyzing the child's knowledge base. My child was nervous and anxious, she put him at ease, so he could open up to her. I felt their was no hope, but she has given me that. We are looking forward to meeting with her again.
