About Corey

Hello, everyone.

As a music instructor of 9 years, and still going, I can honestly say teaching has been one of the most valuable occupations I've had. I've gained the skills to overcome obstacles with a variety of students, each having their own unique way of learning. Patience is key, and I strive to work at any plausible solution to ensure a student gains proper understanding in various content material, allowing them to progress successfully.

Aside from teaching a myriad of instruments, I have a strong educational background. I graduated college with a degree in Environmental Science and Protection Technology and was enrolled at the Missouri University of Science and Technology seeking a degree in Civil Engineering. I am currently attending Western Governor's University to become a mathematics instructor.

Subjects I'm able to tutor include: pre-algebra and algebra 1 - will add more subjects as I continue to seek qualifications.

I'm pretty flexible in scheduling and am able to travel up to 20 miles from my location. Depending on my job, availability can invariably change. Any payments made should follow WyzAnt's guidelines and cancellations should be made 4 hours in advance.

I hope I can be of help and am looking forward to working with you to ensure a successful learning experience.

Feel free to contact me at any time and I will try my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Guitar

I've worked as a guitar instructor for over 10 years, taking pleasure watching my students progress into talented guitarists. I currently teach at Warehouse 66 Music in Waynesville, Missouri, where I give private guitar lessons. I teach all types of genres and can instruct any skill level from beginning to advanced.

Voice (Music)

I've worked as a music teacher for about 14 years at Route 66 Music in Waynesville MO and am currently still an instructor at Warehouse 66 Music in Waynesville MO. As an instructor I've worked with students, helping them in areas of vocal training and learning how to play instruments. I've successfully taught basic music theory to students and have helped them gain the necessary skills and techniques to help them improve their singing ability.
