I am fluent in Spanish and English, with decades of experience teaching and tutoring kids and adults. I homeschooled our three kids. My students have told me that I am a good teacher and tutor. I love Jesus Christ, my Savior!!! Tutoring and writing songs are my favorite jobs. I especially like to help kids with reading, writing, and math, since these are such basic skills. I make review sheets for students to help them to remember information, and can teach parents to do so if they don't want to pay me to. I also make study aids like matching games with information students need to remember. My sister was a special education teacher and I have picked up from tips from her.
I have a bachelor's degree in educational studies from University of Missouri-St. Louis and I have other references besides this one:

"I have found [her] to be a very conscientious teacher, with a highly developed, in-depth knowledge of both the Spanish language and customs as practiced in the southwestern United States, Mexico, and Central America. In the time that I have been with her, she has displayed all of the characteristics to be found in the best of teachers. She comes to class on time, prepared to teach. She has never been critical of my progress, even on my worst days. She consistently monitors my work, and has often performed quick reviews of previously covered material when it appeared to her that I was having difficulty applying it in new areas, to newly introduced material. She provides pertinent background information on new material both before and during her lessons. She encourages me to ask questions pertaining to things I don't understand and provides good answers to the questions I ask. I have no problem recommending [her] for any teaching position." I have tutored since 1987. I like to make up games to help students to remember what they study. I also come up with new versions to common games that also help students to learn. I make up reviews for the little girl I tutor for religion, social studies, science, math, and reading. I am willing to teach parents how to do these things so they can save money. A lot of times a student can remember info better if he matches up, for example, a paper with a word on it with a paper with the definition. The arm movement helps him to learn, especially when there is movement across the center line of the body, according to my sis, a special ed teacher. Singing and rhymes are good ways to learn too. Ex. "My nose turns blue at 32."

Paula

Paula is great! She’s knowledgeable, patient, and she cares about her students! 💯 Currently I’m learning pronunciation with sentences, conjugated regular AR verbs according to the subjects given. We also reviewed accent rules and strong and weak vowels. Highly recommend Paula

Very patient and knowledgeable.

My daughter is in high school with sped classes and wants to become better at math and English to achieve her goals. Paula has gone above and beyond of what I have expected. She’s keeps my daughter and myself engaged, by sending her brief summaries after her tutoring sessions. My daughter doesn’t feel rushed while being tutoring and feels very comfortable with Paula.

Mama, 5 lessons with Paula

Awesome!

I can tell she’s really going to help my daughter in the area of math. From what I know she seems willing to go out of her way to find different techniques to help her learn!

Tanya, 28 lessons with Paula

Excellent choice of inquiry questions on Paula's behalf.

The vocabulary was so foreign to me (pardon the pun) that Paula had to supply too much of the vocabulary meaning. Not the best material selection today. Still, she is a good tutor. I am learning as I wanted.
