My name is Samuel, and I love tutoring. I was lucky enough to get into my university's math study center as a tutor and and spent 3 1/2 semesters tutoring through the university as well as getting some training in math tutoring. I tutored students from various backgrounds and majors, as well as a few non-traditional students. I spent a lot of time tutoring calculus and pre-calculus, but I also consider myself quite able to at tutoring all high school math except statistics. I learned in that time to quickly recall math concepts that I may not have used for some time.
I also tutor children in math. I have less experience with children, but in 2016-2017 I tutored someone through 7th grade in now in the 2017-2018 school year I am tutoring a child in 5th grade math. I should be able to give either parent as a satisfied parent reference.
My philosophy is that the best tutors get students to where they don't need a tutor. I hope I can help you or your child get to this point.
My formal education includes a general associate of science degree, a mechanical engineering degree from BYU-Idaho during which time I had a class on tutoring math, and a law degree from Washington University.
