Hey, I'm Simarpreet! I'm currently a Physics PhD student at Missouri S&T with an emphasis in computational astrophysics, and I've been tutoring math and science for the past three years. I know what it's like to sit in a lecture and have no idea what's going on. I've been that student. What finally helped me wasn't someone re-explaining the same thing, it was someone who actually slowed down and helped me see why it worked. That's what I try to bring to every session.

I tutored at Missouri State University throughout my undergrad, doing one-on-one sessions, group tutoring, and drop-in hours, usually around 10 to 15 hours a week. I also supported introductory Physics for Educators labs and helped coordinate study sessions for students who needed extra help outside of class. I was recognized as Tutor of the Month, which genuinely meant a lot to me because it came from the students I worked with every day. I now teach Physics lab sections at Missouri S&T, so helping students learn is something I do all the time.

My approach is pretty straightforward. I don't rush, I don't make you feel bad for not getting something, and I'm not just going to hand you the answer. We figure out exactly where things got confusing and work from there until it actually makes sense. I'd rather spend more time on one concept and have it stick than rush through material that doesn't land.

I cover Physics (intro, AP, and calculus-based), Calculus 1, 2, and 3, Precalculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Linear Algebra, basically any kind of math. I can also help with some astronomy, too.
