I have had students whom I have tutored who didn't think they would pass tests, or graduate. But they did, thanks to my instruction.

I am a certified (which means I have had background checks and have passed them) and experienced brick and mortar, as well as online English and Spanish teacher. No need to fail any English or Spanish with me around. Give me a try.

When I was an English teacher in California, I taught Career Ed. I had my 9th graders do an interest inventory and connect with careers; my 10th graders researched three careers and made a budget with one; my 11th graders researched colleges and financial aid; and my 12th graders filled out college applications and financial aid forms.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

When I taught English I also taught public speaking. My students did extemporaneous, impromptu, prepared, persuasive speeches, to name a few. They also designed the speeches for certain audiences. I also taught how to prepare for job interviews and held mock job interviews.

History

Bible Studies,

Bible Studies

I can basically teach anything that has to do with reading and interpreting. I grew up in Sunday school, and attended various denominations throughout the years. I am pretty knowledgeable, now, as to what the Bible contains.
Music History

Music History

As a classical pianist growing up I learned a lot about music history. I learned about the composers of the various time periods in music history, as well as played on the piano and clarinet the pieces that they composed. I also learned the styles of music that went with the various music genres during the history of music.

Clarinet,

Clarinet

I played the clarinet from 3rd grade till a senior in college. I also taught it my sophomore year in high school. My college band made a record. Throughout me playing this instrument I performed many times, too, with the bands.
General Music,

General Music

I grew up as a classical pianist. I took lessons for 12 years and earned a piano scholarship to college. I also did a senior recital and earned a Paderweski medal. For 12 years I had to have 10 piano pieces memorized, as well as know the chords, scales and cadences (for the advanced years). I always, though, had to have at least 10 pieces memorized, and in the spring, a piano teacher who I did not know, would judge me on my performance. I can teach theory because I learned and applied it for all those years.
