Hey! My name is Nitai. I graduated with honors from Princeton University with a bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Computer Science. In college, I realized that the teacher makes or breaks a course, and that often, my professors were more concerned with teaching according to their own needs rather than structuring their lessons to bring out the best in the students. As a teacher and a tutor, I have devoted countless hours to considering the best way in which to convey information to my students that for me was difficult to grasp simply because it was taught in a disorganized manner. My student-first approach entails tailoring each lesson to the specific student and his or her needs, rather than adhering strictly to a pre-designed template. This attention to detail--my genuine concern for my students' well-being and ability to put aside my ego--is what sets me apart as an instructor. There are many ways to teach a given concept, and I embrace the challenge of finding the perfect method for each student. Throughout high school, college, and medical school, I have developed numerous tools for understanding different ideas and simplifying complex topics. My love of tutoring stems from my desire to share from my experience so that others may succeed as I have. With the correct approach and a supportive teacher, anybody can learn anything.

I have been teaching math privately for two years. As with any subject I teach, the goal for me is to help the student understand the process so that he or she may confidently approach any problem they encounter. Rather than simply solving problems with students, I utilize problem-solving as a platform for developing good pattern recognition and modeling skills. The first step to understanding a math problem is to be able to describe what is happening in the question, whether it concerns a graph, series, probability analysis, or any other topic. My students learn to ask "why" rather than simply memorizing "how", and this skill forms the basis of their independence in future problem-solving.

I have been formally tutoring science subjects for over 5 years. As an undergraduate student at Princeton, I taught weekly problem-solving classes of the organic chemistry course and tutored students privately in preparation for exams. After graduation, I worked as an instructor at a test prep company where I taught a course in AP Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to medical school applicants preparing for their entry exams to European medical schools and tutored students one-on-one for the MCAT exam. I currently tutor high school and college students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science with the goal of making these subjects more accessible than traditional school and university courses typically make them.

My proudest moment as a teacher/tutor occurred when one of my students told me that I took a subject he hated--chemistry--and made him love it. This is my goal with every student and every subject I teach. Contact me to schedule a lesson and take the first step toward changing the way you think about your studies.

Java

Java

I graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Molecular Biology and Computer Science. I am now a medical student, but my love for teaching has not diminished. I have tutored many students in Java, C, R, and other programming languages. Coding did not come easy to me so I am familiar with many of the pitfalls that can frustrate a student when they being studying any of these languages. I have become a better tutor because of these experiences.

Princeton University graduate, currently studying in medical school. Strong background in math and science subjects, with 5+ years experience tutoring both. I am an enthusiastic teacher with a focus on improving fundamental understanding and building confidence through problem-solving.
Biology,

Biology

I majored in biology at Princeton University, and am currently a medical student. Between college and medical school, I developed and taught a course in AP Biology geared toward students with no background in the natural sciences. I am happy to say my students gave me incredibly positive feedback and I have been enthusiastically tutoring biology ever since.

Calculus

I graduated Princeton University with a B.A. in Molecular Biology and currently I am a medical student. I enjoy mathematics and currently tutor calculus privately.
Chemistry,

Chemistry

I graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Molecular Biology and am currently a medical student. I took two years of chemistry in high school and many other chemistry courses in college. After being selected as a teacher’s assistant in Organic Chemistry my senior year, I spent a year tutoring students for the MCAT. During that year, I also developed and taught a crash course in AP Chemistry to prepare students with no science background for other European medical school exams. I have spent two years since then tutoring chemistry privately. Among all science subjects, chemistry is my great love and I embrace every opportunity to share what I’ve learned in order to help other students succeed.
Physics,

Physics

I completed my B.A. in Molecular Biology at Princeton University and am currently a medical student. Between college and medical school, I worked as a STEM tutor, including designing and teaching two courses in AP Physics to prospective medical school applicants. I also tutored MCAT and continue to tutor physics privately, among other STEM subjects.

Probability

I graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Molecular Biology and a Minor in Computer Science. Currently I am pursuing my M.D. I have always had an interest in probability and statistics. I took several advanced courses in biostatistics in college and now I tutor math and probability privately to several students. My focus as a tutor is on helping the student understand the underlying logic of problems so that they can build confidence and learn to solve similar problems independently.
