As a current college student and recent high school graduate, I have had experience over the past few years helping friends and peers understand difficult subjects. This past year, I was a teaching assistant for physics of electricity and magnetism at MIT. My role involved helping students understand the topics covered in class and helping students with in-class and homework problems.

I love tutoring because I get to review topics that I found interesting when I first learned them. The best part of tutoring is helping a topic click for a student, so that they really understand it. The goal of tutoring a student is always to make them love the subject as much as I do.

I got a 36 on the math portion of the ACT and 800 on the math portion of the SAT. I got a 5 on both the calculus AB and BC AP tests. As a physics major I have to apply my algebra and calculus skills all the time to solve complex physics problems.

Reach out to me if you are interested in having me as a tutor. Don't be afraid to reach out even if you are unsure if I am the right fit. Once you learn more about me, then you can decide if I am the right fit.

Superb at explaining material in a way anyone can understand

Andrew helped me prepare for my SAT Physics subject test, and prior to the session I had almost no knowledge concerning electricity and magnetism. Andrew introduced me to the concepts in a way that eased me back into physics. He clearly has experience explaining concepts in an easily understandable way. Prior to this I had used Khan Academy and other online resources, but all of them tended to overcomplicate their explanations and use confusing language. On the other hand, Andrew understands how to teach material in a way that doesn't cause your eyes to glaze over after the first few minutes. If you're looking for a tutor who knows what they're talking about and knows how to communicate it well, pick Andrew.
