My happiest moments when teaching is when I see that little switch in my students' heads turn on. That's when I know that they get it, and that they are proud of themselves for understanding what has mystified them for so long. As a Pennsylvania certified teacher I have had the great experience of witnessing this again and again, and I want the same to happen for you. Teaching eighth grade English in Lancaster, PA for a year allowed me to learn the best ways to cater to my students' learning styles and help them succeed.
I love tutoring because it helps me grow into being a better teacher and it helps my students realize their true potential. My time teaching Saturday school at my previous school has also afforded me time to teach reading comprehension and test strategies to students who struggled with standardized tests and who did not have English as their native language. Like I have mentioned, it is all about that 'switch' moment; when I saw my Saturday school students achieve what they thought was too challenging, I knew teaching was my calling and my happiness.

I know that I can help you achieve your goals and better yourself. My only wish is to help you, who ever you are to do better.I hope that whomever you choose to help you provides you with a good and enriching experience. I am positive though, that as a team we can work together to further your future. My happiest moments when teaching is when I see that little switch in my students' heads turn on. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
