Teaching in an one-on-one environment is my biggest joy. Bringing out the best in a student, and being a guide by the side allows not only the student to grow, but also the educator. I have been tutoring in some capacity since I was 15, staying after school to help friends on geography quizzes. That passion for teaching only grew throughout my course of study.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, with a penchant for helping others. Graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. I was president of the Teachers of Social Studies at the University of Missouri. And I graduated at 20, after three years.
I taught Freshmen Orientation at Linden wood University-Belleville, with expertise in mote-taking and scheduling. Advised undergraduate students over individualized courses of study. Earned my Masters in Education. And I worked as a guest teacher for the Mehlville School District. Currently a long-term substitute in Honors US History and AP Government.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently instructing AP Government to 30 students. I am also the sponsor of Political Science Club, which currently has over 40 members. I am certified by the state of Missouri to teach Secondary Social Studies to grades 9-12, which required a knowledge test over all of the social studies, Political Science included.
I am certified to teach social studies, and have taught 10th grade World History while student teaching.
