I have a Bachelor's degree in Economics, throughout which I tutored for some years, especially Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematical Economics and Macroeconomics. I was also a teaching assistant for Macro II. After my Bachelor's I completed some credits in the Pure Mathematics program and soon joined the Master's in Applied Mathematics. After obtaining my master's in applied math I obtained a master's in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis.
My favorite math subjects were linear algebra, real analysis (calculus), differential equations and complex variables. In economics my favorite topics were Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and applied econometrics. I have great experience using R and Excel as well. I'm fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and German, as well as in English, I'm happy to assist students in one of those languages if needed.
I've studied a lot of applied mathematics, I know how different subjects connect together and I know lots of applications that will keep the interest in the subject alive.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took a few undergraduate classes in Differential Equations and a graduate level class as well. In my master thesis in mathematics I used differential equations. I'm familiar with more than one of the text books used for math/engineering majors.
I have taken several classes in Econometrics, both in the undergraduate level and the graduate level. I tutored undergraduate econometrics for a few semesters. I've also used applied econometrics outside of the classroom setting.
I have extensive experience using R for data analysis. I've taken classes at the graduate level where R was mandatory. I also took online training (coursera) on R, as well as self-study through tutorials and books.
