University of Missouri-St. Louis (History)
I have enjoyed learning about all kinds of subjects for as long as I can remember, and excelled in school. I graduated from UMSL Summa Cum Laude with a BA in history and a minor in German, and I'm happy to help learners achieve success.
I believe that anyone can gain a good understanding of language and history as long as they have an interest in gaining it. The important thing is to spark that interest. After that, the student just needs guidance.
I have studied German for about seven years, studied in Germany for a semester in 2015, and earned a minor in the language from UMSL.
I have always read and spoken English at a high level and achieved a perfect score of 36 in reading and a 35 in writing on the ACT. I am very thorough when it comes to spelling and grammar.
I have always had a passion for history, especially world history. In high school I took AP courses for US, European, and world history, and earned perfect scores on my AP tests for them. In college I majored in history and graduated with a BA.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As soon as I learned to read, I became insistent on using correct grammar and appropriate vocabulary. I earned a 35 out of 36 on the English portion of the ACT. I enjoy learning about words, grammatical rules, and etymology, and am happy to share my knowledge.
I have always had a passion for history. In high school, I took AP US History, and earned a perfect score of 5 on the AP test. I am most interested in American foreign policy, foreign wars, and the Civil War, but can help students learn other aspects as well.
I am a native English speaker and can read, write, and speak at a very high level. I enjoy learning about language, grammar, spelling, and etymology, and try to use English as well as possible simply out of force of habit. I am happy to share my knowledge with those who would like assistance.
I have always loved studying history, and European history is no exception. I take a strong interest in European political history throughout the ages in particular. However, I can certainly also assist in other aspects of European history.

As soon as I learned to read, I became a stickler for correct spelling and grammar. I always make sure to avoid any mistakes when writing, even in something as simple as a text. I can very quickly spot any mistakes in an essay or article.
Though I have a strong interest in most areas of history, world history is perhaps my favorite. In high school I earned a perfect score of 5 on the AP test for AP World History. I am most interested in political and cultural-linguistic history, but can certainly help with the other aspects as well.
