My passion for teaching is the result of my lifelong love for learning. My experience as a student teacher in elementary, middle and high school settings coupled with my training in Psychology and Counseling has equipped me with the necessary skills to utilize a creative approach to teaching that draws the student into the lessons I prepare stimulating them to want to learn. My areas of specialty are in history, psychology, English, social studies, ACT, SAT and GED preparation. My lesson goals are to meet the student where they are and motivate them to want to learn while challenging them academically without overwhelming them.
Homework will be assigned after every lesson. I will follow-up with an assessment and progress report.

I am available for tutoring Monday thru Friday 9am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 1pm to 8pm. I am available to travel 10 miles to meet with students or meet them on line. My base rate is $60 and hour for in person lessons and $45 an hour for online lessons. I also offer discounted lesson packages. Please contact me for more information. Thank you, I look forward to tutoring you and helping you achieve success in your studies.

I'm an outstanding Psychology tutor because of my in-depth thorough knowledge and experience in Psychology and Counseling as well as my experience as an Adolescent/Adult Therapist in which I have experience tutoring clients to successfully pass their SAT, ACT and GED exams. My ability to build trust in my clients and students ensures them that they will be successful whether in academic settings and in their lives.

I am an avid reader who is experienced in writing for graduate courses, proofreading and editing professional manuscripts coupled with my past experience as a student teacher in English and Reading. I am a critical reader who has expert literature review experience.

My Microsoft Suite certification (Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, Outlook) has equipped me with the skills to successfully be a trainer in the Microsoft Office Suite which includes but is not limited to Microsoft Word.

Although, my undergraduate degree is in Liberal Arts, my areas of study are in History and Psychology. As a result of obtaining my Liberal Arts degree before, I could receive my degree, I had to write an historical paper with a minimum of 50 pages. This experience taught me to read critically and learn the tools and skills of a qualified historian.

My graduate training in Counseling is a dual training in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychological Counseling. I have been trained to work with Persons with Disabilities (PWD) the term, I prefer to use when working with this population. My passion for this population was the impetus for me to get graduate training so that I can work with Persons With Disabilities (PWD) and help them achieve academic and vocational success as well as live a fulfilling life. My training has also equipped me to work with the Medical Aspects of their disability as well as the Psychological effects of their disability. I have counseled students with disabilities and tutored them in classroom subjects such as reading, writing and English. I also have family members who have disabilities and I've been able to apply my training to assist them in achieving academic success.

If you are seeking a professional who will help you reach your academic goals and boost your creativity and motivation in learning, I am that person. I will meet you where you are and assist you in being a success. To be educated means to bring that which lies dormant within you out! You already have within you what you need to be academically successfully what you are missing is a person who is passionate about helping you bring it forth. And that person is me! So don't delay contact me and lets get your journey to academic success started today. I look forward to hearing from you.
