About Angie

I am an Elementary school teacher who believes learning is a lifelong journey. The joy and zeal for learning is something that needs to be instilled and nurtured from an early age on. I taught elementary school for 10 years. Seven of those years I taught third grade. Three of those years I taught math intervention for struggling students grades three through five. I have tutored off and on students ranging in age from second grade to ninth.

During my teaching experience, I was an integral part of designing and developing communication arts, math, and science curriculum.

I would love nothing more but to help your student to reach his or her potential and achieve their personal best. My goal is to nurture a lifelong learner

I was a math intervention specialist for three years for children grades three through five. I have also designed and developed math curriculum for grades one through eight.

I taught third grade for seven years in all subject areas and am well-versed in Common Core.

I am certified by the state of Missouri to teach grades one through six.

I look forward to working with your student and to help them fall in love with learning.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

I taught 3rd grade for 7 years and taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade math intervention for 3 years. I assisted in writing both communication arts and science curriculum for grades 1-5. I also assisted in writing math common assessments to align with state standards for grades 1-5.
