Hi! I have 6 years of experience as a tutor and am highly competent and passionate about my student's quality of education. Most importantly, I make it my mission to cultivate a sense of self confidence and aspiration in each student I work with. I have provided lessons for a wide range of academic levels, including children as young as 7 years old, grades 6 through 12, and undergraduate college students. I've worked in both a classroom setting and a one on one setting providing test prep, writing and grammar skills, and critical analysis to name a few! My areas of expertise include English, Essay Writing, Literature, Poetry, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, U.S. History, and Political Science. I also possess excellent organizational skills. I achieved two Master's Degrees in 2014 from University of Portland in Journalism and Psychology, along with two Minor Degrees in English Literature and Political Science. I maintained a 4.0 GPA, served as columnist for the university newspaper, and participated in multiple volunteer organizations to aid in youth education. I strive to make sure that I adapt to each student's specific needs and maintain that the most important aspect of learning is a fully comprehensive understanding of the material.
I actively study Psychology, Sociology, and Philosphy in the application of current politics and social issues. I have a vast amount of knowledge and insight regarding both method and significance on a large scale!
I have exceptional grammar and writing structure skills. Writing is my vocation and I am passionate about essays on a focused subject in particular. I am also highly experienced in the critical analysis of both classical and contemporary literature works!
I get excited about absorbing new ideas, insights, perspectives, and knowledge and love to share that with my students. I hope you will consider me! Hi! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
