My name is Matt, and I'm a chemistry tutor. I earned my Ph.D. in 2008. Upon graduating with my doctorate, I've been teaching college chemistry lecture and lab to students that range from new high school graduates to working class folks who want to make a career change. I enjoy my work.

Thank you Matt!
My son was struggling in his CHEM 1 summer class for college. It was a 5 credit hour course in 6 weeks, so it moved very quickly. Matt saved the day!!!! I don't know what we would have done without you. Thanks Matt!

Excellent
Matt is an excellent teacher and tutor! For example, he helped me on finish up some post lab questions on the ideal gas law lab. He also helped him complete pre-lab questions on the heat of fusion/heat of vaporization lab. Finally, Matt helped me complete a lab quiz on the ideal gas law.

Excellent tutor
Matthew taught me how to solve molar mass, polytomic equations, understanding charges of metals and nonmetals, and writing out chemical formulas and giving the name. He broke everything down in a much simpler, I can't wait until the next session.

Awesome tutor.
I had a few broad beginning questions and yet Matthew tackled all my questions. He did this by breaking down my questions into more manageable components, providing definitions/formulas, and relating real-life examples to the components. He made this a very rewarding experience, the concepts much easier to understand, and answered questions I had along the way. All-in-all very helpful.
