I have over 15 years of teaching experience of Physics and Math at the undergraduate university level. I hold a Teaching License from the Ecole Normale Superieure and a Masters in Physics from SUNY at Stony Brook, NY. My strength lies in my ability to successfully simplify and explain abstract and nontrivial concepts. I am perceptive and extremely sensitive to the special needs of students. I possess the ability to produce an energizing and creative learning environment that will bring the best in students no matter their initial level or motivation. I have received wonderful letters of evaluation and have been described as one of the best teachers at the Physics Department of SUNY at Stony Brook.
Whether it is Trigonometry, Algebra, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics Mechanics C, AP Physics Electricity and Magnetism C, it is my priority that my student grasps fully the concepts. Having taught AP classes and knowing the expectations of the College Board, I can help any student get a good score on the AP.
Being a mother, I can understand the frustration parents go through when their children struggle with Math and/or Physics and I will help your child like I want my children to be helped. Naima is a great tutor for my daughter (Advanced High School Calculus). She was well-prepared for the lesson and helped my daughter tremendously learn concepts and prepare for her test. Thank you Naima!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My native language is Arabic. I love Arabic, and would love to convey this beautiful language's intricacies to whoever is interested in learning it. I am a teacher and know how to transmit a message. I think I will make an excellent Arabic teacher.
I have helped many students with their calculus and AP calculus courses and I most certainly can help your child.
