Carthage College (Chemistry)
Hi my name is Jen! I graduated in 3.5 years from Carthage College with a degree in chemistry (GPA = 3.8). During my time in college, I was a collegiate athlete (swimming and track). I enjoy helping students break down concepts in a way they understand. It is rewarding to me to see students conquer subjects and succeed.
I have tutored students in 8th grade math, geometry, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, chemistry and AP chemistry. After three weeks, one of my students who was failing, earned 110% on a test. I am passionate about helping others find their full potential and enjoy watching them succeed.
I am a chemist in the St. Louis area and spend my evenings tutoring students. During the week, I am available from 5:30-8:30pm as well as occasional weekends. I meet with students at a local library.
Hope to hear from you soon! Happy studies! Hi my name is Jen! I graduated in 3.5 years from Carthage College with a degree in chemistry (GPA = 3.8). During my time in college, I was a collegiate athlete (swimming and track). I enjoy helping students break down
Jen was great with Bella! She was very patient and Bella felt comfortable with her. Bella said she already feels better about Algebra and definitely wants Jen to come back!
Jen was so helpful during my session! She worked the problems with me and was very knowledgable about the topics. She helped me immensely for my upcoming test!
Was able to help her understand some of the info she was behind on. Will set up some more sessions. Very nice. Easy to talk to. Daughter liked her a lot.
Jen was so nice and easy to talk with. She was very good at explaining things in a way that I could understand! She is helping me to build my basic understanding so that I have a good foundation.
Jen was a gift from God for our daughter. We would still be using her but she's moved from our area. She taught AP Chem and Pre-Calc to my junior. We would HIGHLY recommend Jen!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
