University of the Philippines Diliman
Back in the Philippines, I was a trainer for a multinational pharmaceutical company. I made my own course outlines and manuals for my training sessions for Microsoft Office Programs. I trained executives, office-based and sales employees in our company.
I taught and tutored English to Koreans and Chinese in China. I taught at a boarding school ran by Korean missionaries. Subsequently, I taught English and TOEFL at after-school language institutes, so I am very much familiar with and understanding of the schedules and lifestyle of busy students. Having been a consistent honor student since Kindergarten and having graduated cum laude at the best university in the Philippines (the "Harvard" of the Philippines), I have a strong belief in the importance of education. I have the skills and experience to provide the student good habits to excel in their studies. I have taught Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, High School, College and Adult students, so I know how to handle and understand the pressures and expectations at each level. It is very important for an educator to not only assist the student in his/her studies but also understand the situation and needs of the student. My way of teaching is very flexible and adaptable depending on the kind of student (the student's level of understanding of the subject, interest about the subject, method of learning, etc).
Here in the US, I have tutored English and Math to elementary students, and Basic Computing to adults.
Currently, I am teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) to adult foreigners at a school district.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was a computer trainer for 2 years, an ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher in China for 2 1/2 years, and currently a public school district ESL teacher for adults.
