In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My business experience is based in my undergraduate career at Saint Louis University. I graduated magna cum laude in 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration, specifically concentrating in Marketing and Leadership & Change Management. During my studies, I have also maintained a B to A+ in other subjects such as Financial and Managerial Accounting, Finance, Micro and Macro Economics, IT, Statistics, and Business Law.
I have studied martial arts for over 15 years, most of that time under Nelson Harvey (6th Dan black belt) in Amarillo, Texas. During that time, I earned my 2nd degree black belt in Karate-Taekwondo, passing both my of my black belt tests in front of the American Black Belt Association and the Texas Black Belt Commission. While training for my black belt and after earning it, I was an instructor for all ages. In addition, I also have extensive training in Krav Maga, weapons training, and grappling.
Softball is a game of speed, execution, and power. I played Division I Softball at Saint Louis University from 2007-2011. During which time I received rewards for A10 All-Rookie team, All-Conference Honor Roll, Player of the Week for the Atlantic 10 Conference numerous times, and many other athletic accolades. Throighout my 4 years in college through the past 4 years, I have mentored and tutored many players through the drills and conditioning so that they can teach their ultimate potential. I have the training and understanding of what is required to play competitively with the best in the nation.
