In my free time I enjoy traveling and learning about other languages and cultures. During my years at university, I learned Italian. After university I went and worked briefly in Italy. Since then, I have spent the past 10 years, working as an Italian translator at my full-time position, where I travel often between the US and Italy. Therefore, I also provide Italian lessons to beginner and intermediate students.
For my students, I'm happy to provide lessons and coaching in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: grammar, literature, pronunciation, listening, and conversation. I am also familiar with a different kind of methodology (traditional, silent, socratic) if any student has a specific learning style that they prefer. My goal in tutoring is to create a friendly environment where students are engaged and not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes. In this way, we can work together to better achieve learning objectives and goals.
