Ozark Christian College (Psych and Counseling)
Hello! My name is Daniel but most people call me by my middle name Alex. I was born and raised in Rolla Missouri where I will be spending my summer. I am currently studying at Ozark Christian College in Joplin Missouri as a junior where I'll be majoring in psychology and counseling. I've taken three teaching classes while at school and I teach Sunday School to high school students at the church I'm working at. While doing A+ work in High School, I co-taught a summer school science class for elementary age students.
I'm working for the organization Neighborhood Life House in Joplin that works with children kindergarten to sixth grade. We have fun, sing songs, play games, and I get the opportunity to teach! I love tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to be like the teachers that I'll never forget. These were teachers that were interactive and made the learning relevant. They developed a friendship that went beyond the content taught. As a tutor, I want to be that for students.
You can contact me by email. If you'd like to schedule lessons please contact me! Thank you! Hello! My name is Daniel but most people call me by my middle name Alex. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
