I am a Substitute Teacher and a semi-retired nurse. My strengths are in science, math, English, grammar, reading, and health/medical. As a Substitute Teacher, I have taught mainly grades 1-8. I am a Substitute Teacher and a semi-retired nurse. My strengths are in science, math, English, grammar, reading, and health/medical. As a Substitute Teacher, I have taught mainly grades 1-8. I also have experience with special needs students on both a 1:1 ratio and in small groups. I am also a self-taught cook where I had received 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in a cooking contest for a charitable organization. What I enjoy most about teaching/tutoring is seeing the student{s} progress in their learning and receiving better grades in school. I also like the different teaching/learning styles where each student learns in a different way.
I enjoy problem-solving and the variety of math classes such as pre-algebra and more advanced algebra classes, basic math, etc.
I have taken several undergraduate and graduate classes in the fields of biology and environmental science. I have taken courses such as chemistry, statistics, anatomy and physiology, zoology, and botany.
I have worked with students with ADHD and autism and realize they may have unique methods of learning and am able and willing to cater to each individual special needs.
Feel free to contact me with your needs and to schedule tutoring lessons, My schedule is pretty flexible for the most part.
