In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a great deal of coursework related to cellular biology, molecular biology and genetics. I spent a semester in my genetics course crossing fruit flies to exhibit, one, two and three traits in regards to mono-, di-, and tri-hybrid crosses, respectively.
I have created and taught a curriculum for an undergraduate-level nutrition course at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. I assessed my students' learning and know the trouble areas in regards to comprehension. I also have many media resources available that piqued my students' interests.
