Hello students and parents! Whatever you need assistance in, I will be glad to help!
I am a Physical Education and Health Education major, and have a BS degree. I am certified as a K-12 Health Education teacher. I student taught two different health classes at the high school level.

I have substituted and tutored previously at the elementary level while student teaching at Brookfield Elementary. I have worked with high school students with learning disabilities and ADD/ADHD.

Regarding help with athletic skills and knowledge, I have played and coached several sports at the high school and collegiate level.I am a former NCAA student-athlete and competed in basketball and tennis. Please let me know if you have questions for me, and I look forward to working with you!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Anatomy

-College A&P I and II taken and completed with A's in both
-Taken and completed Medical Terminology with an A
-Current physical therapy technician with experience (3 years) in all anatomy and physiology subjects, with lots of hands-on patient work

Basketball

I played four years of NCAA collegiate basketball and coached for four years at the high school level. I am a Physical Education graduate with added basic skill-specific knowledge of tennis. I played as both a guard and as a forward/post player, and am able to teach all skills at either position.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have substituted and tutored previously at the elementary level while student teaching at Brookfield Elementary. I can assist in all subjects, specifically for math, science, English, writing. I have a Bachelor's degree in K-12 education as well. I have worked with high school students with learning disabilities and ADD/ADHD.

Fitness

I am a Physical Education and Health Education major, and have a BS degree. Aside from previously being a 4-year NCAA athlete, I have participated in many lifting and conditioning programs and camps, and I can adapt to teaching different abilities. I have most recently been the manager of a corporate fitness center, helping others get into fitness programs.

Nutrition

I am certified as a K-12 Health Education teacher. I student taught two different Health classes at the high school level in Rockford, IL. I have also substituted for different Health classes. Examples of subjects that I have instructed are nutrition, environmental, development and reproductive, mental, physical, and emotional health.

Personally, I am certified in CPR and First Aid.

Reading

I am a certified teacher in K-12 education. Recently, I have worked in the classroom as a substitute, as a tutor, and have implemented ACT prep tests. I have also worked with high school students with learning disabilities. I do enjoy working with students and helping them learn and grow.

Softball

I was formerly the head softball coach at high school level, and played at the high school level competitively. I also play recreational softball and have so for six years. I am a Physical Education graduate with added basic skill-specific knowledge of softball. As a player, I was an outfielder, but am able to teach all skills and positions.

Tennis

I played one year of collegiate tennis. I am also a Physical Education graduate with added basic skill-specific knowledge of tennis. I am able to teach all basic skills such as serving, back and forehands, lobs, slams, etc.

Track & Field

I coached varsity girl's track for two years and had two district qualifiers. I ran track for three years and cross country for two in high school. I have conducted pre- and off-season conditioning plans for numerous sports. I am a former NCAA college athlete.
