About Megan

Bio

I am a veterinarian who just graduated from vet school! I have a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Leadership Studies. I have tutored friends in sciences and math and I also was a TA in microbiology and some leadership courses. I was an organic chemistry research student for all 4 years of undergrad, presenting my work at the ACS national conference in 2017.
I love tutoring because I love to learn. I think that tutoring gives me the chance to see things in a different light...

I love tutoring because I love to learn. I think that tutoring gives me the chance to see things in a different light while trying to explain it to the student. I also love to teach. I have always been one who enjoys helping others, especially when it comes to something that I am passionate about, like math and science!

I have a B.S. in Biochemistry and a DVM. I have taken through calculus 2 and biostatistics, epidemiology, and many integrated math/science courses.

I played clarinet from 6th grade all the way through undergrad. I have been to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp 3 times, was in marching band, pep band, and a pit orchestra as well as symphonic band/wind ensemble.

I am a very outgoing, fun, and non intimidating person. Most people don't believe I'm a doctor because I'm very relaxed and not what you would expect of a doctor! I love to learn and teach and will always be excited for pet show and tell if any appear on your screen or mine!

Public Speaking

Public speaking is a performance. It doesn't matter what you are speaking on, it is a performance! I love performing and am comfortable in front of people, making me an ideal tutor for public speaking! I took a public speaking course in undergrad that taught me the basic skills you will need and my professor even recorded one of my speeches for future classes to use as an example of an amazing speech!

Clarinet

I started playing clarinet in middle school and played all the way through the end of undergraduate school. I attended fine arts camp for 3 summers, was in a competitive marching band for 3 years, auditioned into my university's highest performing ensemble all 4 years of undergrad, performed in a pit orchestra, and was involved in pep band for my college's athletic teams. I would consider myself a fairly advanced player and would be able to tutor students at the beginner and intermediate level
