American University in Bulgaria (Mathematics)
Hello everyone. Currently I am a senior (1st semester) at the American University in Bulgaria. I finished my Mathematics major by the end of my junior year already. I will also have finished by Economics major by the end of this semester.
I have been a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Calculus I (2 semesters), Calculus II (1 semester), Elementary Linear Algebra (3 semesters), Numerical Analysis (1 semester), and Econometrics (1 semester).
As a patient tutor, I know quite well how to inspire my students to make their own efforts and to encourage them to exude their creativity. Math courses I have taken include:
Calculus I (A)
Calculus II (A)
Calculus III (A)
Calculus IV (A)
Advanced Calculus (i.e. Baby Real Analysis) (A) (taken at Truman State University)
Advanced Linear Algebra (A-)
Ordinary Differential Equations (A)
Mathematical Statistics (A)
Numerical Analysis (A-)
Complex Analysis (A-)
*note: A=4.00 (highest); A-=3.67
Mathematics GPA: 3.90
Calculus is my favorite subject of all time. I hope to inspire my students to do Calculus despite not being able to tutor them in a classroom setting.
I also have taken most of the required courses for a typical Economics major, including:
Math for Economists (or Mathematical Economics)
International Economics (International Trade)
I received the highest grade A in all of these. Economics GPA: 3.96/4
Thank you for reading! Hello everyone. Currently I am a senior (1st semester) at the American University in Bulgaria. I finished my Mathematics major by the end of my junior year already. I will also have finished by Economics major by the end
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
