Hello, my name is Claudia and I am a college student, majoring in Electrical Engineering, who loves math! I have tutored classrooms for 2 years, while tutoring one-on-one with students for 4+ years. I specialize in assisting students in math concepts. I still actively help others who struggle in those courses. As I am currently obtaining a degree, my experience is not shown through degrees but through other means. I assist in running a public voice- and text-chat server where peer tutors (I’m one of those people!) assist students by providing quick response short tutoring on concepts and specific items they are stuck on.
I love helping people with school! Something I specialize in is breaking concepts into smaller, easier steps, so students can gain a better understanding one thing at a time. This is especially helpful with math, where I am good at making Algebra 1 and 2, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus easy.
One of the reasons I love to help students is because I have felt what it was like to struggle in a class and not feel like there is any help or support. Bad grades are stressful! However, I did the hard thing and learned the entire course myself in the summer. I was able to use a lot of different learning styles to understand all that material. I’m here so students don’t have to do that! Having failed before, I am able to find a method of teaching unique to the student. It makes me super excited to see the frustration from a hard subject go away! If there are any questions or you would like to schedule a lesson, please reach out!

The following fall semester, I tutored Algebra 2 again. I applied the skills I learned from teaching my previous summer school students and helped increase students' sco
