I have four years of award-winning tutoring experience behind me that I can use to help you learn about the humanities and social sciences. History isn't boring if you have enough context! Let me turn your most boring classes into the most fascinating.

I have two degrees in archaeology and anthropology and I am a Registered Professional Archaeologist. I am also a member of the Lambda Alpha National Honor Society and I have several years of experience tutoring college students in anthropology. I have received multiple awards for my work in anthropology and archaeology, and am a proud alumna of the U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship program.

I received a 5 on the AP Spanish test in high school and have spent significant time abroad in Central America polishing my language skills since then. Although not fluent, I can certainly tutor most levels of Spanish below literatura courses.

I scored an 800 on the SAT Reading test. I'm a good test taker and I can teach you the strategies I learned to get there.

I am an archaeologist trained in the four schools of anthropology, which means I take a multifaceted approach to understanding world history. My job relies on a broad knowledge of how history and culture play off of each other.

Very Patient

My lesson with Muriel was enjoyable. She demonstrated a positive, helpful attitude along with exemplary patience. We ran into some technical difficulties with ArcGIS Pro, and she spent a good amount of time (45 minutes or so) trying to resolve these issues. At the end of the lesson, we weren't able to get the final problem solved, so she did not charge me for the time she spent trying to assist. If you are looking for a tutor, I highly recommend Muriel.
