About Bailey

As a recent graduate from The University of Kansas, I spent many hours volunteering as a tutor at local elementary, middle and high schools. In addition, I was a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, which allowed me to tutor fellow classmates.

With a bachelors degree in chemistry and a focus on biomedical studies, I have a great deal of experience in the subjects of science and math. Originally, I had planned to study journalism, so I have also taken a great number of English and writing courses.

It is my goal to help students succeed in their studies, and have confidence in their work.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Organic Chemistry

My qualifications to teach organic chemistry come from my experiences as an undergraduate student. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. A requirement to obtain this degree includes taking several semester of organic chemistry classes - having taken this courses, I am a pro on the subject. In addition, I tutored many students at the university level in organic chemistry.
