About Greg

Inspiration can come in many forms. I have been inspired by my teachers and I hope to give that gift in return to you via our tutoring relationship. I have grown to love economics out of my interest in business. Thinking in terms of economics about the world around us has been eye opening for me and I hope to pass that on to you.

By helping you out with your coursework, I aim to make sure that you completely understand the concepts, can explain the concepts to someone else, and can think openly about the world with those concepts. I look forward to working with you and hope that I can pass the gifts of inspiration and knowledge of economics, accounting, and various math courses on to you.

I have taught a Problem Solving Theory course at ITT Technical Institute that was very math intensive in the concepts of algebra. I have been told by my students that I explain the concepts very clearly and they appreciate me walking through each step of the process.

I have a bachelor's and master's degree in economics and have taken and passed all doctorate level coursework in economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I have been around the field of economics for some time now. I also have worked as an accountant for over 5 years and know the ins and outs of business pretty well.

Baseball has been a passion for me and I follow it every day. Anything that you could possibly want to discuss with regards to baseball would be fun. I played high school baseball with AL MVP Mike Trout and have loved the game since I was a boy.

Evenings and weekends are the best available times for me. If you want a good mix of academic knowledge with real world experience for accounting, economics, or mathematics, I can provide you with excellent service and expertise. I hope that you consider me for your tutoring needs. Just reach out to me and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Accounting

I have worked as an accountant for over 5 years in various industries. I have a B.S. in Business Studies with a track in Accounting from Stockton University in New Jersey. I have tutored accounting at the college level as well.

Algebra 1

I have taught a class at the collegiate level for Algebra and have passed graduate level coursework in advanced mathematical subjects such as Econometrics. I have also tutored Algebra courses before at the college level.

Baseball

I have watched baseball for over 20 years and played from age 3 through high school. I played on the same team with AL MVP Mike Trout in high school at Millville Senior High in NJ. I have grown more interested in the sabermetrics of baseball and look forward to pursuing this interest in the years to come. Did you know Ken Ash won a game as a pitcher by throwing only one pitch on July 27,1930 for the Cincinnati Reds? (They turned a triple play)

Great tutor

This tutor was extremely helpful. He made me feel comfortable to ask questions even if they were many. His explanation is crystal clear and the information reaches well. Also, his economics background was strong and knows what he is talking about. I advise anyone who needs help to check with this tutor.
