Greetings! My name is David. I have been interested in language learning for many years. I took a course in Spanish at St Charles School District around 1995 and continued to learn it by a lot of study and immersing myself in it as much as possible by attending weekly meetings in Spanish. I have become fluent and read and write it as well. It has been the most interesting and rewarding thing I have done in my life and I plan to continue in this direction.
Around 2011 I started to learn Portuguese but I have had limited time to pursue this but I am am able to understand it. In January 2013 I received a TESOL certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Oxford Seminars. In February 2013 I added a Business English Module and I hope to continue learning as well as helping others. I am working on teaching in another country in the future with a visit to Spain in the near future.

The learning must be enjoyable and personal for someone to stay motivated and progress. The methods used pertain to the communicative method of teaching rather than memorization. The same principles apply to learning any language. Greetings! My name is David. I have been interested in language learning for many years. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I teach Basic to Intermediate Conversational and Written Spanish.
