I have a passion for photography and enjoy teaching others about it. It gives me fulfillment to see another person with a similar passion learn from experiences I have had. I have turned an expensive hobby into a profitable business in order to support the enjoyment I get out of photography. I have brought junior photographers with me on shoots and train them with hands-on experience. Meeting someone where they are with their skills and then improving them is the way I teach.

I have studied many photographers and adapt my style to mixtures of all of them. A good photographer is ever changing and adapting to different styles and ideas perfecting their style. To truly enjoy it you need to find your niche and style. Helping the student find that will give them the encouragement to succeed and become a great photographer. This is where I start.

I have owned my own photography business since the '90s and am self taught without any formal schooling. I am a full time accountant and have worked my photography business as a second income all these years. I have recently taught a basic photography class for beginners and novice camera users and would like to tutor to be able to help others do what I have done and enjoyed. I base my teaching on the student's experience in photography.

I use Photoshop Lightroom extensively to prepare my images for final touch-ups in Photoshop. I shoot in raw format and choose to do as much editing in Lightroom before Photoshop in order to maximize quality of the image.

I can teach you what I know and teach you how to teach yourself. I can tell you the ins and outs of the business from my experience and help you succeed in your own. I understand everyone learns differently and can adapt to teach accordingly. I am very down to earth and will teach humbly. The lessons are about the student's learning and fun and not a brag session about the tutor. We will have a lot of fun at each session.
