I, Tamela, received my Master's in Business Management from Webster University. In grade school, I discovered that math,English, spelling, grammar, sociology and psychology were my strong subjects. This was confirmed when I took the SAT and ACT tests because I scored high in these areas. While in high school, my GPA was between 3.0 and 3.5. This allowed me to receive honors from Who's Who, Academic All-American and the National Honors Society.
As far as relevant experience, I have tutored students before. During my sophomore and junior year, I tutored students in math and history. After class, I met with the student for about 1-2 hours and help him/her with whatever assignment he/she was working on.
My tutoring approach is very simple. Once I find out what subject you are having trouble with, I will ask you to show me some of your past homework assignments. We will review some of the questions so I can see if you understand what you did wrong. Next, we will go back to the foundation of that subject. For example, if it is math, we will go back to the formulas and rules that you are required to use. We will do some practice questions, then we will work on the assignment you have been given. Before you leave, I will make sure you know how to work through the questions and solve them.
I enjoy helping people whenever I can. Many people have helped me along the way and I want to carry on the legacy. When you do your best and make high grades, I celebrate with you because I know I have helped someone once again. I, Tamela, received my Master's in Business Management from Webster University. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
While attending William Jewell College, I decided to get a BS in business management. I took accounting, marketing, economics and several other business courses. At graduation, I had completed 80+ hours in business. I went on to pursue a masters in business management at
Webster University. I took more business courses in finance, personnel management and marketing. Upon graduation, I had the required hours in business that I needed to receive a masters degree. Therefore, I feel I am qualified to tutor in the area of business.
I am qualified in writing cover letters and resumes for clients. These qualifications are due to me taking resume classes and from the experience of writing cover letters and resumes for clients over the years.
