I am a dedicated, enthusiastic person who looks forward to helping students realize their own potential and see their grades improve, along with their confidence in themselves. I was a classroom teacher for 14 years in a rural school in Missouri. I have taught all grade levels from Kindergarten, third, fifth, sixth, and junior high. I love to teach all disciplines, and believe that students need all approaches to learning from textbook, to hands-on activities. My goal is to keep students challenged but not overwhelmed. Like I mentioned I use several different teaching methods for my students, and when I see my students not understanding a concept, I switch to a different style of learning. I will also administer periodic assessments and progress reports.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
