About Jeffrey

I am currently a senior at the University of Missouri. I am a very easy going person who is easy to connect with. When I was in high school, I tutored several family friends in basic elementary courses all the way through high school courses.

I originally was an Education major in college, but changed majors. That said, I did also student teach through a program called Invite to Teach, during my senior year in high school. While in that program, I taught 7th grade honors algebra and 6th grade history.

As previously stated, I student taught honors math to 7th graders as well as tutored family friends. Also, since being in college, I have completed math courses all the way through Calculus 2.

I have always had a passion for history and social studies. I am an avid reader on these topics and continue to learn more and more about our nation's past.

I try to make learning as fun and enjoyable as possible. I have an extremely flexible schedule, especially for tutoring slots after school is let out. Teaching and tutoring is something that I've always enjoyed and I would like to continue helping others get past their learning struggles.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
