Hello, my name is Sai! I am a current medical student and specialize in tutoring on science, math, reading/essay writing, and standardized testing. I graduated undergrad with University Honors (highest distinction) and summa cum laude with a degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Missouri - Columbia and then started medical school.
Throughout undergrad, I took and excelled in premed courses and subsequently served as a mentor/tutor for underclassmen. It was here that I fell in love with teaching. I served as a teaching assistant for Medical Microbiology and worked with 20+ students on various medical topics. It was here that I recognized that each student learns differently. I tried different approaches when interacting with students to fit their needs and found success in doing. My tutoring approach therefore is to fit my teaching style to the needs of the individual student to maximize their success.
My experience with tutoring ranges from elementary to medical students. During undergrad, in addition to serving as a mentor for underclassmen and a TA for Medical Microbiology, I volunteered as a tutor in an after school program and taught elementary math. Now as a medical student, I've taught other medical students, volunteer as a science instructor in local elementary schools, and serve as an undergraduate mentor. Subjects that I've tutored in include Math (up until pre calculus), English, Biology, and Psychology.
Please feel free to reach out with any requests/further questions. I look forward to working with you!
