I hold a Master of Education: Curriculum & Instruction, Bachelor of Arts, and an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education.

I have taught Special Education K-12 in a private, and public school setting. I have also been a Specialized Services Liaison (a.k.a Special Education Director) in a non profit after school program. I have subbed Preschool-12th grade.

I can teach all aspects of reading. I have been trained on Aims Web reading skills assessments such as reading comprehension.

I have received numerous trainings in Special Needs which include:

A certificate was presented to me as evidence of completion of ASCD’s professional development training on Building on the Strengths of Students with Special Needs. I have also attended the 33rd Annual Special Education Administrators’ Conference where I obtained 15 hours of professional development. Southeast Missouri State University Autism Center for Diagnosis and Treatment granted me a certificate of attendance for satisfactorily completing their Summer Autism Institute ABA in the Classroom. The University of Missouri Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders granted me a certificate of attendance for participation in their 2010 Autism Summer Workshop Introduction to Autism & Applied Behavior Analysis. I have received teaching certification (in the state of Missouri) in Mild to Moderate Disabilities.

I have been sewing since I was a kid with my Grandma, and Aunt. They were my sewing instructors in 4-H. I also took sewing in high school. I have taught sewing to children in 4-H. I have made pillows, hair scrunchies, shorts, tops, dresses, tree skirts, and more. I can sew by hand, and on the machine.
