As your child's tutor I can offer a wide range of experience in the classroom to help your child excel. I believe in a hands on approach. I have a lot of materials and an extensive knowledge of interventions to help your child to be better at reading, writing, math and all other core areas. I believe in positive reinforcement where all successes are celebrated and success is monitored so students can see their achievements. I will discuss with you, as the parent, what needs you feel your child has. I will also pre-assess to see what areas your child is needing more intervention. I will also, in turn, post-assess so we can celebrate all of your child's successes. I hope my experience and knowledge will be helpful for your student and look forward to working with them. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
