In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I recently completed a Ph. D. program in Educational Leadership. This was a 3 year program of 105 credits. In my educational tract I was required to write a dissertation. I completed more than 80 hours of research time and classroom study on the topic of Anthropology. I completed research, coursework and classroom study with the topic of Anthropology. I completed a Ph. D. program of 105 credits with a perfect grade average of 4.0.
I recently completed a 6th year Specialist Program in Disability Services for State licensing. This was a 3 year program of 35 credits. In my educational tract I was required to study and demonstrate standard skills about Autism. I completed more than 80 hours of research time and classroom study on the topic of Autism. I completed a 6th year specialist program of 35 credits with a grade average of 3.85.
My work experience at a Career Counselor for the local college has given me great insight into Career Development.
I have also completed a state licensing program in Special Education which requires students to study, demonstrate proficiency, and coach students with transition needs in career development. I have also worked with the mainstream student population as a career coach teaching job search skills, marketing, and career inventory testing.
