My name is Vishal! I am currently a rising junior in college pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a planned minor in English. My philosophy when it comes to tutoring is that learning, teaching, and tutor-student relationships all go hand in hand. As I have been able to understand the changes in teaching intimacy when it comes to varying educational backgrounds, I believe the most important thing for me to do, as a tutor, is inspire empowerment within students. It is my hope that, as I help students gain, understand, and apply knowledge, they also realize that the process of school-related learning can be extended to many other aspects of their lives. With this in mind, I am excited to utilize both the interactive and independent areas of teaching to help any student succeed in their academic pursuits!

I have had a year of english/writing tutoring experience with foreign exchange students in high school. During this time, I worked closely with students and provided reviews/feedback for papers assigned to them in higher-level english courses while also helping individuals gain a command over the english language expressed in both speech and writing. In addition to this, I have taken part in a volunteer tutoring service on a weekly basis for the past year during my college career. Throughout this experience, I have worked one-on-one with students ranging from first grade to early high school in reading, writing, and upper-level science/math high school subjects. I hope that these extensive experiences in tutoring show that the dynamic nature of teaching is what I value and apply most to my own style of tutoring.
