I recently finished my undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota with a degree in chemistry, and have a number of years of experience as a tutor to fellow peers and students.

For the past three years I have helped students who have been struggling with chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and the MCAT to increase their knowledge and understanding in those topics - focusing more on learning the concepts and building a solid foundation for their future education.

My key strengths include understanding that each student is different, and adapting to make him/her the most personalized plan to reach their educational goals, motivating my students that these difficult topics are interesting/applicable/ fun, and helping them believe in themselves during these tough classes.

My favorite part about tutoring is genuinely seeing my students understand a concept they never thought they could. Like I said above, it's about building their foundation for their future success.

As a chemistry major, I have a strong foundation with all the sciences. Starting from the beginning level classes to the higher advanced classes, I've built a solid foundation of my knowledge with the sciences. This is not only shown with my grades during my education, but also on my standardized test scores and the way I am able to explain concepts to students in order for them to deepen their understanding in the topic.

I scored a 521 (132/129/130/130) on the MCAT after studying for it for 3 months this past summer, which was supplemented by a Princeton Review course. After studying, taking multiple practice exams, and the actual test, I have a good grasp on what concepts are important and how they are tested. I have helped multiple students raise their scores by 5-12 points with only 1 month of tutoring!

I'd love to help you out! It's more about building a solid foundation for your future, and making these hard classes more bearable. Please don't hesitate to reach out. :)

I recently graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. During undergrad I took a huge array of courses covering all aspects of chemistry including general, organic, physical, inorganic, and analytical chemistry. I have been tutoring several fields of chemistry for over two years at the high school and college level. In September 2018 I scored a perfect 132 (100th percentile) on the MCAT's Chemical and Physical foundations section, showing a well-rounded working knowledge of the subject.

Knowledgeable!

For this lesson we covered more of the general chemistry topics for the MCAT. Specifically we reviewed thermodynamics and gases, including concepts related to enthalpy, entropy, gibbs free energy, and the ideal gas law.

THE BEST SCIENCE TUTOR YOU WILL FIND WITH AFFORDABLE PRICES!

Wow! I struggle with chemistry so much, and in just 20 minutes I felt like I had a better understanding of concepts covered for my test next week! Samson is the best! He really knows the material well, is engaging, and makes sure you leave the tutoring session with something better understood. Everyone needs to get Samson to be their tutor!
