I am a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota in the College of Science and Engineering. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in mathematics and a minor in computer science. I have a great deal of experience tutoring math. I am a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota in the College of Science and Engineering. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in mathematics and a minor in computer science. I have a great deal of experience tutoring math. For all four years of college, I was a teaching assistant for the University of Minnesota Talented Youths Mathematics Program where I worked with students in grades 6 - 9. I also volunteered my time to tutor at-risk students at a Junior High School in math and helped them improve their study skills. Also this past year, I tutored University of Minnesota student athletes at the McNamara Academic Center. Since I have worked with such diverse groups of students with various learning habits, I have developed a variety of methods to explain difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

I am really passionate about both math and teaching. I have a strong belief that the best way to learn something is to teach it, and that philosophy shows up in my tutoring style. Instead of directly providing solutions, I tend to ask students questions to stimulate critical thinking. This helps with mastering and retention of the content.

I graduated with high distinction and summa cum laude with a degree in mathematics this past semseter. I also received a 5 on the Calculus AB exam, 36 on the ACT Mathematics Section, and 800 on the SAT Mathematics II Subject Test.

Feel free to reach out if you are interested! I have a flexible schedule and would love to help!

Actuarial Science

I have graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in mathematics. As such, I have taken a courses in Probability (for P/1), Stochastic Processes, Theory of Interest (for FM/2), and Actuarial Mathematics I (for MLC/3L). I also have passed Exam P/1.

Computer

Mathematica,

Mathematica

To graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota, I wrote an undergraduate honors thesis where I created a Mathematica notebook to visualize billiard dynamical systems in convex billiards. I have also used Mathematica throughout the past 4 years of my undergraduate career for a number of my math courses.
MATLAB

MATLAB

I have used MATLAB for a number of courses in my undergraduate career. These include an electrical engineering course in biology, functional genomics, and dynamical systems. In those courses I have helped classmates with their MATLAB code.

Fantastic teacher!!

I really enjoyed my session with Han and look forward to future sessions. He was very well prepared for our session and made difficult concepts easy to understand.

He is the best tutor.

Han is the best tutor. I was struggling for doing Numerical Analysis with Mathematica. He amazingly helped me. Even it is the one of my master classes. Thank you.

Excellent at Simplifying Complex Topics

Han Yong helped me with my online Calculus class and was super helpful in breaking down hard concepts into understandable words. I will definitely work with him again.

Very Knowledgeable & Helpful

I didn’t think I would find a tutor in this subject area so quickly, but Mr. Wunrow does know his stuff! We went over various Mathematica commands and various topics in Mathematical Biology. I felt silly asking some questions as I knew some of them were pretty trivial, but he helped refresh my memory and explained very well so that I could understand. Thank you so much!!
