St. Norbert College (Spanish,Communicatio)
I am passionate about Spanish and always look forward to opportunities to help others understand the intricacies of the language. I have tutored Spanish for six years and enjoy working one on one with students or in small groups. My favorite part about tutoring is when a new study strategy/technique specific to learning Spanish really clicks with a student and students begin to look forward to learning more.
I majored in Spanish at St. Norbert College and tutored Spanish Beginning and Intermediate levels for 4 years at St. Norbert College, securing my tutor certification through the College Reading & Learning Association. I was also an Undergraduate Research Fellow for Spanish Literature. I have lived and travelled in Ecuador, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Spain, giving me a thorough understanding of cultural and slang differences in many Spanish speaking countries.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
