“**Elvis is amazing.**”

I love being a tutor, a one on one teacher. I like to focus on an individual and identify their areas of weakness, as well as what motivates them to study. I have come across students who had bad grades, not because they were not smart enough, but because they were victims of a poor teaching technique. I once read a book titled "Disruptive Class"

Elvis does such a good job explaining the concepts. He understands the course work so well and is able to impart that information to my son. We are so happy to have found such an intelligent, thoughtful, and capable tutor.

Elvis was patient with my son, he explained the steps in Algebra where my son understood them. My son said he learned alot and math came together with his explanation, even better than how the teacher explains things!

Elvis has made a great connection with Chris and approach to Calculus. His smile has come back when he talks about math. We are looking forward to continuing with Elvis this next semester.

Thank You Elvis!

Again from Danny:

I really like the way Elvis breaks things down and helps me see the steps I need to do.

From parent;

I am so impressed at how well he connects with Danny, how patient he is, how good his skill set is for helping guide Danny to the field of figuring things out/solving problems by helping him understand the "infrastructure" of the steps needed to get to those solutions. That is the real goal of teaching (not just getting answers)-EXCELLENT JOB.

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. Danny is a really smart kid. I feel honored working with him

Right away, he made my daughter feel and ease and is very knowledgeable. He was patient explaining and giving pointers on how to work out the problems.

Thanks Yemi. I'll continue to assist your daughter in the best way I can. She is very hard working and intelligent.

Elvis is an awesome Tutor! I have had trouble in the past with teachers who don't understand how to teach. For example, a teacher who when you tell them that you don't understand they simply repeat what they just said rather than actually explaining things to you. Elvis is a cut above the rest because he has the ability to actually break difficult concepts down and make them very simple and easy to get. I HIGHLY recommend him!

2nd lesson with Elvis. Studied Taylor series, radius of conversions, Power Series. He explains things well and is able to come up with other examples to better understand the concepts. Wish we would have found him earlier in the year.

Excellent tutor very knowledgeable and very patient. Always make time for his students and find simple ways to do problem that seems hard.

Amazing tutor let me work through the problems and helped me where I was wrong!!! I would recommend Elvis for math and physics!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am an engineering student in century college. I have a solid background in math. I passed my high school math class with honors. I had a 650 score in SAT math and I love math.

I have taught algebra for more than 4 years in two different parts of the world. I have a multilateral and analytical mastery of the concepts. I have a Simplistic and surgical method of approaching the problems. I don't assume my students have prerequisite knowledge unless they demonstrate full comprehension of Prealgebra.

I graduated from high school with honors in Math and AP Math. I studied Math and Physics in college as a double major. I'm not only good at this, I enjoy it. I yearn to share that joy and enthusiasm with my students, and help them see how math is connected to every aspect of their lives. I have 4 years plus of tutoring experience, and this helps me look at algebra from many different perspectives. I like to see what my student sees in the numbers, so that I can identify their shortcomings if there are any. I am dedicated to the learning process because I enjoy math better when my students understand.

I have tutored Calculus for over 3 years. I have a double A in calculus because I studied Calculus out of the country but my grades won't transfer, so I had to take calculus again in the US. I had an A grade both times. Before Calculus I tutored Algebra and the combination of both gives me more than 4 years of tutoring math. I know how to observe my students well enough to identify what area they need help with. I know how to approach calculus when dealing with students who struggle with algebra.
