Hi, My name is Omuvwie. I am originally from Nigeria, I came here when I was 10 years old. My goal has always been to be a scientist, so through my journey in life I have been through schools and graduated. I majored in Chemistry and Biology. I am currently a chemist at Pace Analytical in Oakdale Minnesota. When I was in college, I loved chemistry and biology so much that the harder the course the more excited I got about it. In one of my chemistry class, I had an issue with how the professor was explaining things. I just didn't get it, that as the moment I started to explain things to myself the way I understood it and I realized if I m thinking like this I bet others do too. Usually its not the professors fault its just that its not explained to us how we can understand. After that I decided to be a chemistry tutor at my college to at least help most of my colleagues with assignments and explaining chemistry how they understood. I realized each individual learns different, so I explain things the way each student can understand. I love helping others how I can; therefore, if my knowledge about chemistry and biology can help other students I will gladly share theme. I look forward to the students I will be helping in the future. Thank you :)

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
