I am an Electrical Engineer and wasn't satisfied with my daughter's Math education. I've developed my own method of teaching Algebra. "AlgebraReborn" is a child friendly method of teaching Algebra where there are no stress, struggle and intimidation. My son and daughter (2nd and 5th grade) are doing well in Math. They are years ahead of their peers. I also teach Algebra to other children and they shine in Algebra (2nd to 9 grade). My success rate is 100%. I'll be able to show you my students in action and testimonials from parents.
I specialize in teaching first time learners (K-6). I'll mentor your children to learn the fundamentals of Algebra right from the start so they can experience success in learning Math immediately. Being good in Math is not about having or not having a Math gene! It is more about reaching out to children and providing relevant contents and instructions to them. With my approach, they'll have a better path to learn the fundamentals of Algebra from the start. There will be no opportunity for them to dislike Math.
I enjoy mentoring struggling Middle School students: From 4th grade, they start to dislike Math (pre-Algebra) because they can not relate to it. The inability to understand Math causes frustration, develops negative attitude and leads students to the dark side of Math. Most students will not recover from it. I'll guide your disoriented children to rediscover Math in a fun and meaningful way. They will regain their confidence and command Algebra.
One of the most rewarding aspects in mentoring is working with students struggling with Algebra I and II. This group consists of frustrated High school and College students. They didn't have a positive experience in learning Algebra. Taking a remedial class or repeating the same class multiple times is traumatic, expensive and unproductive. I'll mentor them to connect the dots and put them back on track.
I've also mentored Students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD. I've rendered complex Math concepts into easy stories and descriptive drawings that are helpful to facilitate the learning process.
To successfully learn Algebra, I typically proceed with 2 sessions per week. Homework is not for learning, but for retaining the knowledge. Thus, it will be kept to a minimum.
I offer quality service and deliver results. It is not a standard tutoring where students are assisted with their homework. My method provides tools to students, develops their skills and builds their confidence to solve Algebra problems without relying on formulas. Once students learns the fundamentals of Algebra, they'll build a solid repertoire of knowledge and skills that will serve them in college and life.
Lastly, I prefer mentoring young students and under-performing group of students because I can make them learn Math easily or bring them back to learn Math again. If your children are looking to overcome Math anxiety, there is still hope.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
