I'm a retired Marine Corps pilot, with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics.

I completed my post-graduate program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning from the University of Texas at Austin, and I am currently pursuing my graduate degree in artificial intelligence.

I've tutored many college and high school students extensively for over 20 years including 1-on-1 tutoring and through volunteering for those who could not afford to hire a tutor. As with any student, no matter how much they struggled with mathematics, I was able to help them achieve their goals in mathematics.

I use a very patient approach, listening to the student's perspective on where they are struggling, then I craft a specific outline to help them become very confident and ultimately mastering mathematics. I am able to explain concepts in a variety of ways. This allows me to reach students who learn whether as a visual, auditory, or hands-on learner. I'm guided by my favorite Einstein quote, "If you can't explain it simply - - you don't understand it well enough."

I've also found that a typical student is missing some key background elements that are inhibiting their mastery of mathematics. I quickly identify those weak points and fill in the missing gaps, thus enabling them to quickly move forward with confidence.

The bottom line is that math is low stress - - - and I enjoy seeing students overcome their fear of mathematics.

But most importabtly, I enjoy observing students whom I've tutotred, excel in mathematics - - - with confidence.
