I absolutely love tutoring and teaching! Over the last 10+ years I have had the opportunity to tutor a variety of students from all different math backgrounds. I have four years of experience tutoring junior high, high school, and GED prep. After receiving my college degree, I spent seven years working as a college algebra instructor. The majority of the students I've worked with were individuals who lacked confidence in their math abilities, or who had spent their entire lives struggling with math. I love helping students conquer math and discover they can do hard things.

One thing that sets me apart from other tutors is I do not primarily focus on the material itself. I focus on identifying where students struggle. I display understanding, patience, and sympathy. I know what it's like to struggle in hard classes, and I've dedicated the last seven years of my life helping to motivate and assist students to obtain their educational goals. Oftentimes it's the basics that students struggle with. Through my experience with tutoring, I've been able to recognize the common areas of struggle and have found multiple ways to teach those fundamental concepts. I am very adaptable and do my best to explain things in the simplest way possible.

I have had the most experience tutoring Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Prealgebra, College Algebra, and Precalculus. I can also tutor in middle school math, or elementary math.
