Due to the disruption the pandemic has caused for schools, districts across the country report that students today are struggling. Grades and test scores are falling, absenteeism is up, and the school environment is more stressful than ever. Many children in school now, especially those of a more critical learning age, may come away with significant gaps in their education. These gaps can be detrimental to a student's learning, holding them back from academic success as they continue on to new subjects. If they never develop the solid foundation they need at the start, they are more likely to fall behind.

My role in a student's education is to fill these gaps. Some students have had their education interrupted while learning critical subject matter, like arithmetic or phonics. Others have difficulty learning in the classroom setting, where teachers can't devote much 1-on-1 time to students. Still others have trouble staying focused and need an accountability partner to help them finish their studies efficiently. Through online 1-on-1 tutoring sessions, I can address all of these concerns.

I tutor K-12 students on a variety of subjects, including Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and History, providing students with homework help, explanations of material, and projects to further their learning in a way that engages them. I also offer tutoring to high schoolers focused on the ACT, SAT, and PSAT tests. I have done an extensive amount of training on these tests, and offer students specific strategies and resources to prepare for the tests and maximize their scores.
